i am sure that that is the debate taking place in obama's mind right now, which is -- look , is this actually resolving anything? or is it simply acknowledging that we failed and emboldening the opposition? beyond the that politics, though, probably another thing that obama is thinking about that is the right thing to think about is the substance. ever mind politics, how did this happen? this was his signature domestic achievement. it was not a surprise, like hurricane katrina. it was a long planned event and the rollout was disastrous. something went wrong and someone is responsible for that. is in theat someone west wing, deep in the bowels of health and human services, whether it is secretary sebelius, i do not understand the problems well enough to know. someone is accountable, i would say, ultimately, and that in my view the president has to bear some of that accountability. he came with a lack of administrative experience and uncertain times it was not a problem but this is one of those instances where someone with managerial instance -- instincts would not have allowed this. h
